Internship

Above is the work I've done with my internship at Forever Interactive (an indie game-developer) so far. ( Foreverinteractive.com ) I am doing illustrations for Encounter Cards. They're hexagon-shaped because the tiles for the board of the game are hexagon shaped. The project I am working on is called Visions of Zosimos, and it's going to be an online board/card game whose storyline ties into FI's main project, Infernal World (an MMORPG).

Working with FI has been a blast so far. Everyone there is nice, and productive. It's neat that I get the opportunity to network with the team at FI. I really appreciate that they like my work so much. It means a lot to me :)

Before discovering FI, I was getting really discouraged about internships. Most places want you to come in and work for them during your summer break. Since I attend The Art Institute of Washington, I only get 3 weeks of summer break. So for a while I was nervous I wouldn't be able to take on an internship before I graduate. But with FI, I can do all the work from home :) It's such a nice opportunity that I am really grateful for.

I found this opportunity all be myself. Most of the time, things like this don't just pop up and tap you on the shoulder. You have to put yourself out there and really search. It's very gratifying when you finally get that job you were looking for :) Thanks FI for having me on your team :)

  1. Jen you know you may at times be a little turd nugget but you are definitely a great person, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! :) Can't wait to see more of your work.
